Jacksonville may be in the same state as me, but it is still over six hours away. Lets hope they have some decent luck with auditions from this crazy state!
Josh Ulloa – He sings Marvin Gaye’s Let’s Get It On, and his over the top performace is memorable. But a little too high-strung for my liking.
Sharon Wilbur brought her good luck Shih-zhu, named Sasha. She sings Superstar, and her voice seems just ok. The guys put her through easily, while the girls took a moment (and a kiss) to decide .
Julissa Veloz – She is the Latin beauty queen who obviously didn’t get the memo about not singing Whitney at the audition (or ever on Idol) but she was actually ok, and makes it through, but I don’t think she will last tonight.
Jasmine Murray – This girl is from Mississippi, aka the Idol Belt, and can “blow” (to quote Mr. Jackson). She sings Fergie, which I hated to the song choice, because it only has a few notes. Still, I like her already, and look forward to seeing her more.
TK Hash, also from the Idol Belt state of NC, sings Lennon’s Imagine. You can hear hints of Davie Archuleta in his rendition, which is mostly good, though a little shaky at some points. he is an old pro at this, having tried out last year (I assume he even made it to Hollywood, since he seems to have made an impression.)Still, this kid has an awesome voice and I look forward to a lot more from him.
Anne Marie Boskovich – She is the girl that they asked to leave to find her star quality, after gushing over Kara for 10 minutes. She did, and her voice is really great. She sang Bubbly, which was fantastic (parts are better than the original version)
Well, the judges seemed down and out about the talent in Jacksonville. From what I saw, it was slim pickings. Any stadouts for you?
