Ryan asks, in regards to our voting, “What have you done?” Lets hope we have sent Normund home.
After this group of 12 get their “trip down memory lane” video package, we get the group song, Ne-yo’s Closer. What is with these bizarro group song choices? I much prefer something a little older…and more goup-y. This one was just as bad as last week.
During the commercial break, we see an “unaired bad audition” Are economic times so tough that they can’t sell all their ad space? Things are already weird this season.
Once we are back to the real show, we get the obligatory recap, obviously. And finally, time for the killings.
Allison, Jesse, and Matt B. are all called up, and reminded of the judges comments last night. Allison is told she makes it through, and gets to sing again. Jesse and Matt are out.

Have I mentioned how nice it is to hear the best singers reprise their performances, rather than the worst ones?
Megan and Kris are up next. Kris is “really freaking nervous.” They are reminded of their judges comments, but given no results. Matt Giraud and Jeanine are asked to join them. No sooner than they are up, they are both asked to sit down, leaving Kris and Megan in the running for the second stool. One of them makes it to the top 12, and it is Kris Allen! Megan is out.

I am so happy for him – I thought it would be Megan, between the two of them. But he is really talented, and I can’t wait to hear more from him. Go Kris!
After the break, to kill 3 minutes or so, they are recycling segments from earlier this season. And Brooke White is in the house, doing her version of Hold Up by Heart. This is her first single, I guess. Go Brooke!
After the break, Mishavonna, Kai, Nick, Adam, and Jasmine are called up. The kids are read their judges recap, and Mishavonna, Kai, and Jasmine are told to sit down. This leaves Nick and Adam to get their results after the break.
After the break, Adam finds out he is in, and there is an Idol God.

Well we knew that he was TCO, and would make it into the top 12 easily.
Next week, the remaining contestants should be exciting. I am excited to see Lil Rounds, and hopefully she will live up to the hype. This week, both Allison and Kris would not have been included in my top 12 list, but they came out of nowhere to rock it. Next week should be fun – I like hearing these kids with no face-time really step it up.
